Margie & Ted Superior

Ted and Margie Superior have been a part of the COA family since 2013 when their son, Christopher was struggling with addiction. Kevin was able to help Christopher obtain treatment for the disease for several years. At their first meeting Kevin described Chris as “a man of few words and a heart as big as the sky.” They knew then that Chris was in good hands! Chris fought a valiant battle and COA was there to help every step of the way. Kevin also helped their daughter Alicia and family to survive the roller coaster of addiction. Sadly, Christopher lost his battle in 2017. Working with COA has helped them survive the death of their son. Ted and Margie volunteer in Chris’s memory because “that is what he would want”. If his death and their volunteerism can save just one life that will be a tribute to him and bring comfort to them.

Ted and Margie met online in 2013 and were married in 2014. Ted is a retired Professional Electrical Engineer and Professional Planner who served in the Army National Guard. Ted’s career began working for PSEG and evolved to the pharmaceutical industry where he designed, planned, and managed multiple facilities.

Margie is a retired registered nurse whose career spanned hospital nursing as well as home care. Margie retired from a management position at a home care company after 40 years of nursing service. They are proud to be part of the COA family and look forward to continuing their volunteer journey.
