Join us this Saturday, July 1, 2023 at Trenton Thunder Ballpark One Thunder Way Trenton, NJ 08611 when the Trenton Thunder hosts the Sage Ferraro Memorial Game. Come see the COA Angels vs the Hatboro RayDogs compete on a MLB field. Admission is free! Gates open at 9:30am and Game is 10:30a. The concession stand will be open. Come visit Trenton Thunder BallPark and see the stadium in an informal setting, while you support City of Angels. Free giveaways and make sure you visit the COA merchandise table.
COA Angels Baseball:
The COA Angels baseball team competes in the South Jersey Mens Senior Baseball League in the 21+ North Division. The Angels currently are Playoff bound and in 2018 won the NJABL Amateur Championship having compiled an undefeated 20-0-2 record that year. The Angels are the brainchild of friends Jon Di Lisa, a Marine who served in Iraq and Afghanistan, and Jon Macciocca, a high school baseball standout in his own right. The two friends, who are persons in long-term recovery, asked City of Angels to sponsor the team and to fulfill their ultimate dream to play baseball once again. The Angels inaugural season was in 2014. Today, the Angels are coached by Tim Kline and the Captains are Xavier Rodrigues, Jose Gomez and Cole McManimon. . If you take notice of the Angels team jerseys…they were presented to the team in 2014 by MLB’s Los Angeles Angels and were actual team jerseys worn in Los Angeles’ 2011, 50th Anniversary season. Overcoming adversity is a constant for the Angel’s team, as they dealt with the tragic deaths of their first pitcher Sage Ferraro, 3rd baseman Brian Low and last month, catcher Chris Kline. The Angels partner with the Trenton Thunder to present Addiction Awareness Night coming on August 19, 2023 and their Annual Sage Ferraro Memorial Game, being played Saturday, July 2, 2023 at Trenton Thunder BallPark.
